New Year’s Vandalism at East Huntspill School
On New Year’s Eve the primary school’s playground was completely wrecked by vandals and everything was smashed up. When we heard the shocking news we contacted the Headmaster and enquired if there was anything we could do to help.
It was really good to hear that already on the 3rd January they had a wonderful community response to the vandalism when between 40 – 50 people turned up to help clear the damage. They included staff, parents, governors, pupils past & present, villagers & members of local voluntary organisations. It is truly inspiring to hear how their community pulled together in such a positive manner.
As their wooden playhouse was damaged we have offered to donate one of our custom made Wendy houses to the pupils. They chose our VW minibus Wendy house which is one of our favourite pieces too. As much as we love it, it’s time for it to move on and make children happy.
